One of a Kind. This is an ornate & high grade M1840 Cavalry Officers Presentation saber likely presented to a high ranking officer during the Civil War. The swords hilt is entirely of gilded brass except for the grip which is gorgeous sterling silver. The hilt has intricate floral designs covering the branches, guard, and underside of the crossguard. The sword is well modeled after the popular M 1840 Wristbreaker Cavalry saber, and is
